Alterric has increased its existing syndicated green loan facility from 300 million euros to 350 million euros. Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) has joined the existing banking consortium comprising Commerzbank and ING as a further financing partner and will provide the additional €50 million.
The unsecured credit facility, which was finalised in December 2025, has a term of three years with options to extend it by up to two years.
The aim of the increase is to align the financial framework with the volume of the company’s project pipeline. In the Federal Network Agency’s most recent round of tenders for onshore wind energy alone, Alterric secured contracts for six sites with a combined capacity of 242 megawatts. The company’s entire pipeline comprises projects with a total capacity of around 11,000 megawatts. At the same time, the company is further developing existing sites into integrated energy parks by combining wind power, photovoltaics and battery storage. The expanded credit facility strengthens the financial scope for the further implementation of these projects.
Ingmar Schmitt, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Alterric: “By increasing our financing framework to 350 million euros, we are aligning it with our current project pipeline. The addition of Crédit Agricole CIB as a further partner in the banking consortium, and the confidence shown by the entire banking consortium, confirm Alterric’s track record of successful implementation. We are thereby strengthening our role in the sustainable transformation of the energy sector in Germany and Europe.”
